Children's Program
Kids for Christ
Children’s Ministry of Shelton Presbyterian Church
Kids for Christ is our Sunday morning children’s program for all
kids ages 4 years through 5th grade. Kids for Christ meets during
the 9 a.m. Cross Point service. We offer family worship time at the
start of the service, with children dismissed after the singing time
to age-grouped classrooms. Activities vary and may include small
projects, snacks, games or discussion related to the story or lesson
of the day. Lessons are Bible based stories with life applications.
Current age groups:
-
Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grades (approximate ages 4-7 years)
- 3rd, 4th & 5th grades (approximate ages 8-11 years)
Visiting?
Your children are welcome to join us for Kids for Christ. Parents
are also welcome to attend and observe any time. Children are
dismissed by Pastor Jeff approximately 15 minutes into the
Cross Point service after the worship songs. Children’s classrooms
are in the hallway near the sanctuary. This is where children can be
picked up after the service. We believe in offering quality time for your
children while they have fun learning and growing in Christ. The
Christian Education Ministry Team plans and organizes Kids for
Christ with the help of volunteers who have all been background
checked. If you would like more information regarding Kids for
Christ, please contact our church office.
Kids' Camp
For five days in July (Tuesday through Saturday), community kids entering kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to attend our free summer day-camp program featuring music, crafts, games, classes, field trips and more. Each child receives a complimentary t-shirt. And the whole family is encouraged to join Family Day festivities at the end.
Teenagers are needed for junior leader roles.
Watch for more information.
